SaySoKids ("the site") is operated by P5 Creative LLC. It is a free collection of educational practice tools for children, including children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS). Please read these terms before using the site. By using SaySoKids, you agree to them.
SaySoKids was created by a parent, not a speech-language pathologist or medical professional. The tools are meant to support practice at home. They are not therapy, diagnosis, or treatment, and they are not a substitute for an evaluation or care from a qualified professional who knows your child. If you have concerns about your child's speech or development, please consult a licensed speech-language pathologist or your child's doctor. Apraxia Kids, an independent nonprofit, is a good starting point.
The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.
We make no guarantee that the sounds, pronunciations, word lists, or other content are correct, complete, or appropriate for any particular child, and we make no promise about any learning or speech outcome. Speech development varies from child to child. Content may contain errors, and recorded sounds may not match every accent, dialect, or therapy approach.
You decide whether and how to use SaySoKids with your child, and you do so at your own discretion and risk. A responsible adult should supervise a child's use of the tools and the device.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, P5 Creative LLC and the creator of SaySoKids will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the site or its content, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the site is offered free of charge, you agree that this limitation is reasonable.
SaySoKids has no user accounts and does not collect personal information about you or your child. Word lists, settings, progress, and any sounds you record stay on your own device. If you enable the optional sync feature, it stores only word lists and settings under a randomly generated code. It never stores recordings, and never anything that identifies a child. A code is not tied to a name, email, or profile, though like any identifier it should be kept private. See more in the site's notes and the README.
SaySoKids is free, and the intent is to keep it free. If hosting costs grow, an optional donation link may be added so families who are able can help cover server costs. Donations, if ever offered, are voluntary and never required to use any tool. There is no paywall.
The site may link to other resources, such as Apraxia Kids. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any site we link to. SaySoKids is an independent project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Apraxia Kids or any other organization mentioned.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms. The "last updated" date above shows when this version took effect.
