Break a word into its separate sounds. Your child taps one circle for each sound, which builds blending and segmenting, the heart of sounding words out. This is sounds, not syllables: "fish" is three taps, f, i, sh.
Say: Let us tap the sounds: f... i... sh. Now blend them: fish.
Watch for: One tap per sound, not per letter. Silent letters are greyed out and get no circle.
Stop when: Stop after a few words or when your child tires.
Make it easier: Tap Blend it first so your child can copy, and start with short words.
Make it harder: Try longer words or blends, and tap the sounds before saying them aloud.
A quick check so little hands don\'t change settings.
