Sound Match

Tune the ear to sounds. Your child hears a word or a sound and finds the match. Answers can be a picture or a letter, depending on the mode.

  1. Pick a mode at the top: first sound, last sound, or find the sound.
  2. Tap Hear it to play the word, then tap the matching letter.
  3. Green means yes. A wrong tap just wiggles, so your child can try again.
Coaching tips for grown-ups

Say: Listen: sss-un. What sound does sun start with?

Watch for: Have your child say the sound out loud before tapping.

Stop when: Stop after a handful of matches or when attention fades.

Make it easier: Set 2 choices in settings and say the sound together first.

Make it harder: Set 4 choices, or try the Last sound and Find the sound modes.

Tip: tap the gear in the top right anytime for parent settings.
